Be a Chef at the Market

Do you have a passion for seasonal, local foods you can find at the Nampa Farmers Market? Do you love to cook? Do you have the heart of a teacher?

We'd love to talk to you!

We consider the Chef at the Market first and foremost as a teacher. In this role, you'll educate via your cooking demonstration, how to cook using seasonal, local ingredients found in the market. We want the market shopper to be able to replicate what they learn in their home kitchen. Think simple recipes without a huge number of steps. Our patrons love to learn techniques that will save them time in the kitchen!

The recipes you demonstrate should feature at least one major ingredient available at the market that day. Preferably, the recipes will contain as many ingredients from the market as is reasonable.

We are recruiting nutritionists, educators, farmers/producers, public health professionals, cookbook authors, chefs, etc. to join us on Saturdays 9am-1pm during market season-the last Saturday through the last Saturday of October-rain or shine.
