We are hiring for:

      Assistant Manager

Position:  Assistant Manager

The ideal candidate will be available at market 2-3 Saturdays a month. .  They should possess problem solving skills and be able to deal with various situations quickly and efficiently.  Great communication skills are a must as the assistant manager will deal with vendors and customers throughout the day.

The assistant manager should love working with the public, and be committed to the market. The market is very community based. We are all about local fresh produce and handcrafted items.  You do not need to know everything about local crops or food production practices, but knowledge of the Nampa community is helpful.

Hours:  6:45 AM to approximately 3:00 PM on Saturdays from the end of April through the end of October.

Compensation is $80 per market day;  paid on the first Saturday of the month for the prior month.

Approximate listing of Assistant Manager duties (subject to change):
Market Days:
Help with setting up various market booth areas (i.e. chef booth, manager's booth, kid area, etc.)

Assist setup and teardown helpers as needed.

Backup the booth assistant with selling tokens and operating the credit card machine.

Answer customer questions.
Help with special guests.
Provide paperwork to potential vendors.
Greet customers.

Watch over the market area and be aware of people and events that are out-of-place.

Collect money from vendors at the end of the day.

Be able to assume the market-day duties of the manager when the manager is not at the market.

Non Market Days:

Help with tasks and activities that support the market (very minimal).
